When this week's Flip Side 45 was released, Samantha Fox was already famous as a "glamour girl" in England and for her previous U.S.Top Five hit "Touch Me". From her second, self-title album, this week's hit side went to number 3, "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" and the flip side "Dream City".

This week's Flip Side 45 is the debut single from the Scottish singer, Sheena Easton. Exposure on a British TV show The Big Time, helped her to get a recording contract and helped push her first two singles into the UK top ten. This weeks featured 45 peaked in the US at number 18 and it is "Modern Girl". the flip side, "Summer's Over".

This week's Flip Side 45 is from the debut solo album by Phil Collin. Released in February 1981, Face Value went to number 1 around the world and into the Top 10 in the US. Two singles were released in the US and this week's flip side was the second release, "I Missed Again". This top 20's flip side, "I'm Not Moving".

From the soundtrack to the movie "Ruthless People" and from the album "The Bridge", it's Billy Joel's Top 10 hit from 1986, "Modern Woman" and the flip side, which can be heard on his album "Glass Houses", "Sleeping With The Television On".

This week we go back the the spring and summer of 1985 when the Eurythmics released their album "Be Yourself Tonight". Of the four singles that were released from the album, "Would I Lie To You" was the biggest hit and is the 'hit side'. The 'flip side'? "Here Comes That Sinking Feeling Again".

The title track from Cyndi Lauper's second album is this week's Flip Side 45. True Colors was released in 1986 and the single went to #1 in the US. The flip side was originally available only as the B-side to True Colors. In 2001 it was released as a track on the album Feels Like Christmas. This week's flip side is "Heading For The Moon".

According to the song writer: "a lot of people were still worried about the aftermath of The Cold War and it was basically an encouragement to protest.". That songwriter was Roland Orzabal of Tears For Fears. The song, "Shout", from the 1985 album, Songs From The Big Chair. The flip side, "The Big Chair".
