A diner in Wayne, New Jersey has added a “teen tax” to their bill when they suspect younger customers might not tip.

When asked about the charge, the owner of the diner referred the reporter to his lawyer. The lawyer explained that kids show up in packs of 20 or 30 and stay for a long time without tipping. The menu at the diner also clearly states that “management reserves the right to add 18 percent gratuity.”
